The American Deafness and Rehabilitation Association (ADARA) and the Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Losses (AMPHL) are pleased to announce a joint national conference in 2019 to be hosted June 1-4, 2019 at the BWI Airport Marriott Hotel, 1743 West Nursery Road, Linthicum, Maryland.  Our conference theme is “Embracing Cross-Disciplinary Partnerships” which brings together the members of two vital organizations to address common barriers by sharing information resulting in more effective solutions.

Professionals will attend the conference who work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals in various fields, including medical professions, vocational rehabilitation, chemical dependency, mental health, social work, post-secondary and k-12 education, school counseling, interpreting and independent living.

As part of the conference, ADARA will have a book signing event, and is inviting authors who have written books in areas of interest to the attendees.  At the signings, we would offer attendees the opportunity to purchase books, and have them signed by the author. The book signing event will be held on June 1st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as part of the conference’s opening reception.

We would love to have you or your colleagues, participate in this event.  If you would like more information, or to discuss the book signing event, you can contact me at  [email protected] .

Thank you very much for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Deb Guthmann, Ed.D.
